HOW TO READ eBOOKS?

PDF Format

PDF files are widely compatible across most devices and operating systems. To read books in PDF format, follow these steps:

Using Adobe Acrobat Reader:

Adobe Acrobat Reader is a free and reliable application designed for viewing, managing, and annotating PDF files. You can download it from the official Adobe website.

    Using Web Browsers:

Modern internet browsers such as Mozilla Firefox, Google Chrome, Microsoft Edge, and Apple Safari have built-in PDF viewers. This feature eliminates the need for additional software. Simply drag and drop the PDF file into the browser window or open it directly via the browser’s file menu.

    Using Thorium Reader:

The Thorium app on Windows is another option that supports both EPUB and PDF formats. Thorium also offers voice-assisted reading for PDF files when an internet connection is active.

    EPUB Format

On an Apple Device (Laptop, iPad, or iPhone):

Apple devices come pre-installed with the ‘Books’ app. This app lets you open, organise, and read EPUB files effortlessly. To access an EPUB file, import the file into the ‘Books’ app. Once imported, it will be stored in your digital library for easy access and management.

      On an Android Device:

Install a dedicated app such as Epub Reader from the Google Play Store. Once installed, you can use the app to open and manage your EPUB files seamlessly.

      On a Windows Computer:

Windows users have two primary options for reading EPUB files:

Thorium Reader: Available via the Microsoft Store, Thorium supports both EPUB and PDF formats. Its additional features include text-to-speech functionality for PDF, provided you have an internet connection.

Calibre: Calibre is a comprehensive eBook management system available from calibre-ebook.com. While Calibre offers advanced features for working with eBooks, for basic EPUB reading, use only the ePub Reader feature of the application.

Using Amazon Content Library to Read EPUB Files

Another option for reading EPUB files involves utilising Amazon’s Kindle ecosystem. If you have an Amazon account, you can upload your EPUB files to your Amazon content library. This allows you to access and read them on Kindle devices or any device using the Kindle application.

To upload an EPUB file, visit https://www.amazon.com/sendtokindle

Log in to your Amazon account and upload the EPUB file. Once uploaded, the EPUB file will appear in your Amazon content library as a personal document (DOC). You can then open and read the file via any compatible Kindle device or Kindle app, just like any other eBook in your library.
